This is professional work performing complex human resource management functions in implementing and carrying out recruitment, selection and termination of employees, benefits, salary administration, policy development and revision and employee relations for specific business units. Provides research and consultative support services to management of business units concerning staff programs to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state legal and regulatory requirements. The HR Business Partner formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Require Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Business Administration, Health Administration or relevant degree. Will substitute relevant experience on a year for year basis, plus a national certification (ie: PHR).
Require three (3) years progressive professional experience in a recruitment or human resource generalist capacity. Will accept a new graduate from an accredited Master Degree program in lieu of experience.
Prefer health care experience in a similar sized environment.
Prefer demonstrated knowledge of recruitment methods, screening, selection and interview methods.
Prefer demonstrated working knowledge of employment law, wage and hour law, and labor relations law.
Prefer demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements.
Prefer demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to effectively consult and counsel all levels of management staff.
Prefer demonstrated effective decision making skills.
Prefer demonstrated computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point, etc.
Prefer basic understanding of group benefits.
